Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how powerful genuine connections can be—both personally and professionally. After years of building relationships across dentistry, media, and entrepreneurship, I realized I’d started to take my network for granted.
That’s when my colleague Dr. Jiveh, who’s in my Mastermind group, reminded me what intentional networking can do for your success. He told me that he blocks out a few hours each week just to network—and that simple routine inspired me to take action.
So this week, I decided to do the same.
I committed to reconnecting and expanding my circle—and within days, I had three networking appointments lined up. Each conversation left me feeling inspired, energized, and full of fresh ideas. It was exactly the push I needed to get back on my networking game.
If you’ve been moving through your goals solo lately, I encourage you to do the same. Carve out a little time each week to nurture your connections, reach out to people you admire, and create space for new collaborations.
"There is power in who you know. Not just connection power—growth power, success power, even fulfillment power." — Jeffrey Gitomer
The Four Connection Questions That Sparked My Reset
As I revisited Jeffrey Gitomer’s Little Black Book of Connections, I was reminded of four simple yet powerful questions that can transform how we connect—and grow:
1. Who do you know?
2. How well are you connected?
3. Do you know how to make a connection?
4. Who knows you?
These four questions aren’t just for business—they’re a personal audit of how we show up in our relationships and professional circles.
Why Intentional Networking Matters
When you build relationships with intention—not agenda—you open doors you didn’t even know existed. Networking is not about collecting contacts; it’s about cultivating genuine synergy with people who share your values, vision, and drive.
This week reminded me that opportunities don’t just come from what you know or even who you know—it’s who knows you and how they remember you.
So take a moment today to ask yourself those four questions. Then make one move—schedule a coffee chat, send a message, or attend a virtual mixer. You’ll be amazed by the ripple effect of one intentional connection.
